Size A Day Giveaway #motoringshirts (Re-tweet this and have a chance to win and XL shirt today).  If you’re size XL today is your day to Re-tweet.  So you’re not an XL?  Maybe shove another hamburger down at lunch then.  Better yet just wait until your size comes up.  Here is the schedule for the rest of the week.  Yesterday we surprised everyone and gave away two shirts.

Walkabout Colorado: Help me get accesss to the outdoors for people who are Developmentally Disabled

You all know me as Skully or Matt, one little thing you might not know about me is I work in the human services field, specifically with people who are diagnosed with developmental disabilities.

During the last eight years of time in this field I came up with an idea which started as a pet project, but turned in to a much bigger project.

I had several opportunities to combine my love of Traildriven Jeeps with my work in the human services field by taking people into the back country exploring the Colorado Outdoors. What I found is this demographic of individuals loved exploring the back country, but outside of what I did, there was not much opportunity for them. The programs I did see where very expensive and not everyone had the funds available either through there own very low income or through their services provided.

The idea for Walkabout Colorado was born!

However in this lame economy it is hard to start a project on the budget I got and not a lot of people are just giving away funds for projects.

Pepsi Refresh Project. Giving away grants to ideas and projects that better the community and people.

So at the end of all of this I need your help to win a grant. You must vote everyday on my project to move me up the ranking. I have to be in the top 10 to win a grant.You get 10 votes a day to vote on the 10 ideas you like the best including me of course.

Pepsi Refresh Grant help people with developmental disabilities experience the outdoors.

Anniversary Sale – 15 years (Sept 2nd only)

Anniversary Sale?  huh?  We’ve only been around a few weeks now.  How can there be an Anniversary Sale already?

Hallmark has a reason for you to buy a card each month right?  Why not have a reason to buy a shirt every month?  Tomorrow is one of the owners’s 15 year wedding anniversary.  To celebrate all day tomorrow you’ll be getting “15″% off your shirt orders.  It’s only tomorrow folks.  Set your alarms, tell your mom to wake your ass up early.

The owners said one day only.  He doesn’t want to celebrate this “marriage thing” for more than one day.

New Owner’s Club Shirts to debut in September

A big thanks goes out to all of you that submitted Owner’s Club entries in July and August.  When you where in Denver you made your way over to the MotoringShirts booth.  We had a ton of entries from MITM and MTTS.

Congratulations to Carol T., Jessica D., and Matt S.  All your designs will be added to the MotoringShirts line in September.  Thanks for being the first members of the Owner’s Club.  If your name is not listed, that does not mean your idea has been canned.  It may have reached us too late, or is slated for release in another month.

Carol’s shirt idea is extra special. We have asked Carol to pick a charity that helps soldiers returning from combat.  The charity will receive a portion of the profits from each of these shirts sold.

Would you like to be member of the Owner’s Club?  It’s really easy.  Go here, write out your design or attach an image to the form.  If your idea is chosen you will get your shirt made, along with another shirt from us, all for free.  Your design and your design only will be badged with “Owner’s Club” on the sleeve.  So everyone knows you came up with that idea.  Pretty cool huh?

Boose and Cars – “Secret Shirt” word event

DaveCo Liquors Annual Car Show (10a-2p Sat Aug 28th)

Booze and cars don’t usually mix, but today is a different story. It’s the annual DaveCo Liquors cars show.

MotoringShirts will be headed out today about 11:30am. No booth or anything just going to enjoy the sweet rides and hot sun.

Maybe our representative will have a freebee or two in his camera bag. If I were you I would jump over to FaceBook or Twitter and see if a “Secret Shirt” word has been posted.

What’s a “Secret Shirt” word you ask? A “Secret Shirt” word is a word that gets you a free shirt. Just get our MotoringShirts representative to say the word and then he hands you over a free t-shirt. What a deal! There will be limited quantities and sizes so get to him quick.

FaceBook ad is up

We heard late yesterday that our New FaceBook ad was approved.  It’s up an running.  Most of you won’t see it since it was targeted to those Mini fans that are not already fans of MotoringShirts.  So spread the word to fan us up on FaceBook.

Do really hate seeing the ad at the left on Facebook?  Just fan up MotoringShirts and you won’t see it any longer, easy huh?

Next week we’ll be working on some friends in the business to help us get the word out.  More on that in a few weeks though.

…first night tally is in

By the time we hit the pillows last night we had over 10 orders in the online store.  Considering we went live just after 5pm mountain time.  At that time most of you had already left the place that most of you online shop from, work. :)
